A Bad Habit and New Series

Something that people should know about me is that I am a terrible reader. So terrible that I suspect that I must have some diagnosed reading disability. That didn’t stop me from watching anime subbed, reading manga, and surfing fanfiction.net for countless hours.

Still, it came as a shock to my family when I decided to major in English. (Well, it was English with a concentration in Creative Writing, but I still had to read plenty of novels and short stories.) With my major came a new healthier appetite for reading, but when I graduated, I lost the constant stream of reading material.

Jump ahead, and now I work at a bookstore. Unfortunately, I’ve developed the fiscally irresponsible habit of finding new books every time I clock in. While I can resist buying every book it the store, I now have a collection so large I can’t them fit on my shelf (there are literal stacks on my floor).

Of these books, most of them remain untouched, while the rest are half-read. So to motivate me to get through my 30+ pile of backup reading, I decided to start a series where I finish (or abandon) the books that I have accumulated and review them. I’ll start by reviewing the book series that I’m already partway through.

Until then, see ya later!

Blood+ Update

Originally, I was going to do the plot section of this series based off of my 5+ year old memory of the Blood+ anime. However, the more I wrote and visited the wiki to refresh my memory, the more I realize that I actually remember a lot of what went on in the anime. I remembered major things like character personality and major plot points but little things like how Kai and Riku reunited with Saya escapes me.

So, the last part of the Blood+ series is going on hiatus until I can find and re-watch the series. (And no piracy because of something-something support the official release.) The only reason I’m doing this post is because I noticed that people were actually reading these posts and I didn’t want to stop a series so close to the end without giving them a heads up. Well, there’s that weight off my shoulders. Bye!
