How perfect is it that the review that’s taken the longest to write is titled that?

To be fair, I live in Georgia, so quarantine ended right after I announced this series. Goodbye free time, hello anxiety.

I wasn’t prepared for how funny and clever this book turned out to be.

Reading The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (which will now be referred to as simply Hitchhiker’s) was like listening to a Dungeons and Dragons podcast. It was a wakey adventure that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Hitchhiker’s is fun, incredibly creative, and has excellent world-building.

This is the first book I’m reviewing that I never finished and have no intention of finishing. I can’t even tell you that much about the plot because it’s been over a year since I shelved it. When I thought about reading it again, I remembered how much of a chore it was to read. The format of this review will be a little different than normal. Alright, let’s talk about Wicked

Because I’m still procrastinating, here’s another book series that I already started.

Flashback to 2011. Borders was going out of business and books were cheap, so I picked a random book off the shelf. I believe I was in high school at the time, so this was the first time that I picked a book that wasn’t in the manga section.

(For anyone who doesn’t know, a light novel is a kind of young adult novel in Japan. The ones I’ve read usually clock in just under 200 pages with pictures sprinkled in. If you hear that an anime has a novel linked to it, then chances are its a light novel.)

I found the Baccano! series through anime. Back when Hulu was still free to everyone, I would watch every decent anime dubs that I could get my grubby little paws on. (For anyone who doesn’t watch dubs, I was a busy college student tried from reading. At the time a good dub was a godsend.)
