I am a textbook nerd. In school, I used to stay up all night reading manga and watching anime.

When my nose isn’t stuck in books, I was scouring the web for fanfictions based on them.

Long story short, This blog is going to be full of all the things that make my nerdy heart go doki-doki.

A Peak Behind the Curtain

When I first started studying Creative Writing, one of my professors warned me that I wouldn’t be able to enjoy media that same way anymore. That I would look pick apart stories and it would stop me from having a good time. That I wouldn’t be able to stop myself from “reading like a writer”. Well as it turns out, that’s exactly how I was digesting media in the first place. The only change is that I know some academic lingo to go along with it.

Instead of talking off the ears of my family and friends with the literal essays of my thoughts on how Eve from Disney’s Descendants thematically is a better main character that Mal, I decided to make this blog.

So, if you want to read my thoughts as I deconstruct a variety of stories, criticize video games, and analyze fandoms that I love, hate, and love to hate, then you are more than welcome to stick around.
